Begin your journey with a pre-dawn pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 4 am. Our comfortable private transport will escort you to the Ollantaytambo train station. If you’re staying in Ollentaytambo, we’ll arrange for your pickup at 5:30 am directly from your accommodation.
Train Ride to Km 104 and the Start of the Trek
The train ride to Km 104 is a prelude to your adventure, offering scenic vistas that set the stage for the day ahead. Upon arriving at Km 104, you’ll be provided with a box lunch to carry with you, fueling your excitement and energy for the trek. Here, your journey on the Inca Trail begins as you cross the Urubamba River on a picturesque footbridge and check in at the trailhead with your passport.
A Hike Through Diverse Climates
From Km104, the trail ascends gently, unveiling expansive views of the Urubamba River and immersing you in varying microclimates, including the mystical cloud forest.
